My initiation into the spiritual path started 25 years ago with a recommendation to read ‘The Third Eye’ by Lobsang Rampa (http://www.lobsangrampa.net). I’d suggest this and his entire works especially, ‘You Forever’ as truly inspirational books to enlightenment.
I’ve studied and practiced esoteric ways on and off for many years and always believed there is something more to life than just the material world, as we know it here on planet earth. For a number of years my teachings have come from the Rosicrucian Order AMORC (http://www.amorc.org.uk), which I still study today.
More recent and over the last couple of years I became involved in two spiritual development groups. The lovely Tracy Black’s (http://www.welcomethespirit.com) circle at Villiers Street, Coventry and Adam Walker from the Beacon in Nuneaton (http://www.the-beacon.org.uk). This has and continues to be a fantastic opportunity to be working with like-minded people, all of whom want to develop and share their knowledge for the greater good of others.
It was around this time I discovered my fascination and love of Tarot cards and was especially drawn to the Druid Craft Tarot (www.willworthingtonart.co.uk) a beautifully illustrated deck. As with most Tarot decks they are divided into two main categories, the Major Arcana representing your spiritual development and path and the Minor Arcana depicting; events, people, characteristics and situations, the suites relate to the 4 elements.
I then came across a set of Oracle cards called Ask an Angel (http://www.tonicarminesalerno.com) again I was drawn to these because of the beautiful artwork the images portrayed. As messengers from the spirit world, each card has either and Angel or an Archangel with a detailed picture that tells us what we need to here.
I found when using both Tarot and Angel cards together they seem to complement each other, reinforcing and supporting the meaning and messages being given. At the moment I primarily work psychically and tend to use the cards as a tool to connect with spirit, which means messages are given intuitively and spiritually. |
